  1. The cure for your affliction, your weakness, is simple - love your fate and stop valuing the opinion of others more so then your own. I am not saying reject opinions of others, all data can help improve your internal model, just ensure you know your value - not the value others place upon you. I am lucky, I learned this when I was a child - growing up very poor, surrounded by violence - learning this lesson early allowed me to move up in life, seeing opportunities where others only see hardship and isolation - I knew differently both are gifts and challenges; adventures - that lead to a personal meritocracy of sorts.

  2. Keep your head up, this too shall past. As a former army officer - during my 3rd tour - i saw the Russian military in Syria, and just how bad they were - their failure in Ukraine has not shocked me. Does the average Russian understand just how bad their military is and much of their next gen weapon platforms are not scalable and even their ICBM's (from what i have seen and studied) dont even work - I am guessing due to insane corruption that has prevented their upkeep. I hope you find some peace of mind and stability - i would both Russian and Ukrainian refugees can find their way to safety and security.
