Keep your head up, this too shall past. As a former army officer - during my 3rd tour - i saw the Russian military in Syria, and just how bad they were - their failure in Ukraine has not shocked me. Does the average Russian understand just how bad their military is and much of their next gen weapon platforms are not scalable and even their ICBM's (from what i have seen and studied) dont even work - I am guessing due to insane corruption that has prevented their upkeep. I hope you find some peace of mind and stability - i would both Russian and Ukrainian refugees can find their way to safety and security.
