H1B’s easy fix: have company and legal immigrant pay a 5 year tax, culminating in their achievement of citizenship. Ensure no firm can hire H1B’s (not including tax) unless they are paid median of domestic labor (protecting domestic wages, and ensuring premium is paid by firms hiring H1Bs). Humanity is a bell curve, at JPM the top data science folks are supported were mostly foreign: German, French, Indian, Argentine, etc. We need the best and brightest from all over, just not at the expense of US labor.
