@timothyblazer1749 Fed and DTCC are both privately owned and self governed (FINRA, NSCC, etc). 99% of folks (everyone who doesnt work in treasuries) have zero clue what the Fed actually does, hint hint - they dont go brrrr as a Fed bank reserves is nothing more then a chucky cheese tokens used in repo markets (overnight lending, liquidity that keeps liquidity pumping). Treasury does not print either as they sell debt (bonds) for cash (largely from banks) in order to make up for spending that surpasses tax revenue. In our monetary system (debt based) real money is created via bank lending. You put down 20% and with a snap of our fingers we create the 80% (as debt instrument that you pay off) - we then package and sell that instrument on wholesale markets (as an example).
