  1. America - much like during our first gilded age (industrial revoluiton) is currently an oligarchy once again due to the digital revoultion that started in the late 90's. This is pretty commonly known in banking and finance - you may call them elties or donor class, but its just oligarchs - who use politicians of both parties as their meat puppets. Most agree that the trigger events were repeal of Glass-Steagall, LTCM bailout organized by the Fed, debt monetization (US government buying its own debt), and a couple other outlier events that set conditions and inadvertenly killed domestic manufacturing and created a massive wealth gap.
