  1. At 13:30 - this is what one my friends (master of the universe type, also former officer) said as well. The modern US oligarchs suffered an existential crisis decade plus ago that caused alot of moral hazard (think Francis Fukuyama on steroids and coke). Alot of the madness you see today is their attempt to normalize bad habit they formed and ensure their survivability as their moral hazard has crushed them (again, bailouts on deck).
