  1. Why lie? I actually believed in much of the modeling pre-2019, but in 2020 carbon emissions dropped 5% (pandemic), 2021 emissions were 4% from 2019, 2022 ~97% from 2019, 2023 ~97% as well as productivity collapses in China and elsewhere. This drop is way beyond modeling forecasts (as no one foresaw the pandemic) but when plugged into the models, they do not function (meaning output change in water temp as example is not realized, less severe weather etc). Meaning something besides carbon is driving climate change, and most climate science is either junk or highly theoretical (nothing you would want base economic planning around, unless you make money off of it). Also when studying historical El Nino's they predate industrial revolution - as sediment samples for the Bronze age collapse show wide spread droughts that lasted centuries (as examples). Overall something is just very off with this discussion that has been warped into a religious narrative.
