  1. Also in context losses are well over 100k for Russia, but broken down to MoD, conscripts, Wagner, LPR, DPR, Patriot, etc... that is why numbers are so wild and apart. My understanding actual Russian MoD is under 50k - more then double that is the other buckets above.

  2. Conscripts make for a better defensive force - asking them to go on the offensive is madness. I am was wrong as well - I never thought Russia would burn through their conscripts and remaining modern FMC rolling stock on a crazy, poorly managed offensive (pure madness). While the number of conscripts is a story - the Russian willingness to use conscripts in such a manner as outlined above is a bigger story. Just imagine how poorly maintained their nuclear stockpile and the 'at the ready' nulcear assets are?
