  1. I grew up in Rutland: grew up on welfare, shot in the back with a 9mm (wrong time, wrong place), constant domestic violence and surrounded by the drug game - it was a nightmare. Poverty in Vermont is super deep, drugs and alcohol abuse run deep. College / tourism areas are anomalies.

Love your content - just two observations from someone who grew up on welfare in a small town in VT, used the military to get ahead - lived ~20 years in NYC before my wife and I move to north Dallas suburbs in 2018 after my last deployment; work in banking, (risk/controls) home owner and car owner (for meta data attributed to my observations). Observations are as follows: current migration trends are largely reversing the dust bowl great depression migration trends of ~2 to 3 generations back. An example: my wife is from southern Cali - her grandfather was from Arkansas, we now live in north Texas. Her cousin moved from Venice to a small town in Arkansas. This trend is playing out where many coastal folk are moving back to the lower central southern portion of the country, unwinding the Okie - Grapes of Wrath migration of generations ago. Also I dont understand the obsession of politics - in blue states that are wealthy the corruption is state driven, one party dominant, and hidden behind fat and grisel cancel culture politics. The poor red states - are the largest welfare recipients per capital in America - there state government's corruption is basically skimming the federal dole - while blaming their failures on culture wars, also one party rule. When you zoom out its largely same shit, just different toilets. For the record overseas any where is infinitely worse from what I have seen. And small towns arent safe - i was shot in the back in one growing up - my uncle was one of the largest dealers in VT before becoming a junkie. I grew up in violence and chaos - I also lived in some sketchy parts of Harlem back in the day while in ROTC / grad school. I always felt safer in Harlem - the corruption, drug game, etc always had rules and guardrails while the poverty, drug game, and violence was always unfettered and personal (everyone knows everyone, from the dealers to the corrupt cops).

China will be the new Weimar - once they realize how over the barrel they are with dollar denominated debt they will have no choice but to print more in their own currency - and any dollar denominated bonds they issue will require crazy yields as their credit risk is becoming insanely high. Also, in terms of trade - what happens when their partners want dollars that the chinese cant afford? - Meaning their manufacturing / exporting may never recover to pre pandemic highs. - Great video btw

  4. Correct - share buy backs are a way to pump your share price in support of future offerings required to cash up and stave of bankruptcy. And I love the way you explained the trigger that will drive cash from HYG and JNK to TLT - which I can see breaking 200 for a time early next year, also wouldnt be shocked if the dollar hits the 120's.

  7.  @wizzyno1566  DX-Y (dollar index) is in the high 90's and rising. Dont confuse cost of goods and services (CPI or trimmed CPE) with money supply. Actual inflation and deflation at all times in a monetary phenomenon (scarcity or surplus of USD). If you get caught up in narratives and dont engage in first principle thinking or you will lose the game. Do you understand deflation leads to higher wages in a short period of time, less jobs, and less production and therefore higher prices. Why - misallocation of dollars to service run away debt - that causes production to decrease and businesses to charge higher prices. Just study 1929 up until WW2, history repeats. Deflation conditions are as follows: high dollar, banks not lending, and sustained reduction in production that artificially keeps prices high. Once the fever breaks and zombie firms die - then you have a rock bottom of nothingness as the dead wood is cleared from the financial economy.

  8. Profit margin crunches and production cuts - labor shortages at first will equal out the gaol of reduced labor requirements - and then ultimately lead to massive layoffs and production cuts become more permanent as inventory builds.

  13. Great video and I agree - I can see debt loaded legacy firms falling apart in the near future, like: GM, Comcast, etc. Alos, Chinese provincial risk is through the roof - i heard insane numbers, like they have combined USD denominated debt in the trillions.
