  6.  @儀水鏡の妖怪霊  Alright so while you may not know, I can certainly tell you behind why Japan has largely stagnated since the 1990s: Tell me, why are NEETs heavily prevalent there to the point where even the entertainment industry has to largely appeal to them? Why does Japan have one of the highest median ages out of any country in the world? Why is Japan often considered to be a modern-day corporatocracy to the point where it's equivalent to South Korea when it comes to the sheer power corporations receive? Why does Japan have a high adultery rate among younger generations, discouraging people from starting their own families and becoming NEETS? Why, even after importing Peruvian and Brasilian people of Japanese descent to the country are birth rates performing so poorly? Why is it now that Japan is beginning to import Korean and Chinese immigrants to the country if all is going well there? All of these questions and more should hopefully give you a perspective as to how bad things are going on there now.

I mean look man, even though my parents came into the States looking for a better life, I'm not going to let my selfish desires tempt me into having children that will have confused ethnic and national identities as well as say, marrying into a family from a different corner of the globe. I'd rather still be familiar with the standards and customs of the US while also retaining my own ethnic identity as to not masquerade as something as not as I can guarantee you too would cringe at a European pretending he's Asian for example.
