So what happened in subsequent World Cups? BTFOd in 1970, didn't even qualify in 1974 and 1978, nothing notable in 1982 had a decent run in 1986 but in every year since, they always lose in the knockout stage

Kind of sad that the only notable achievement of England was an event 58 years ago.
5
Lmao, 58 years ago.
4
Doing pretty well considering they won the World Cup in 2018 and were runners up in 2022
3
Maybe because not as many people care about them.
3
@Austerliz Maybe because said players are just better? Football is one of the few times where one could legitimately say it's a meritocracy
3
@moongoalie2410 It really doesn't when at the end of the day, national teams will ideally choose the players they see the best.
2
@LysergicCasserole95 Not very accurate considering the many debunks made against it but I doubt many people here will read them in good faith
2
@The_great_destroyer762 So how did Germany do in 2022? Oh right: Eliminated at Group Stage. Italy? Never qualified for a World Cup since 2014 despite somehow winning the Euros and Argentina... well let's just say there's still considerable doubt regarding all three of their titles.

svíþjóð Peak unemployed behavior
2
Go back to playing Elden Ring like a good little consoomer
2
@WeezyFBaby-ye7tp Probably can't even name any half decent players lmao
2
Imagine your country being so bad at tournaments that you have to go back 58 years and even that's under dispute considering England's match against Portugal in the same tournament.
1
@raymondbullock4557 Basically in their match against Portugal, the selected stadium was abruptly moved at the last minute, disorienting a strong Portuguese team and giving England a strong advantage over them due to home advantage. There are other videos that go into this detail better but you generally get the basics. Plus, why didn't England qualify for 1974 and 1978 if race is all what matters now?
1
@moongoalie2410 Too bad I really don't deify a continent as a idol and instead just choose to embrace my own identity and I'm sure 99% of other Mestizos will agree on me with this one
1
@moongoalie2410 Lmao many Spaniards treat Latin America as an entirely different universe from them so.... no. By the way, you do realize this also goes for white Europeans that aren't themselves considering that sexpats are looked down upon
1
Yeah maybe because they just pick the best footballers and not just (ironically) diversity hires just to appease you. It's simply called a meritocracy
1
@moongoalie2410 So in other words, you essentially want (ironically) white diversity hires and again, not the players that the current manager deems to be the best. And considering some of the other comments in this video, perhaps there is a modicum of truth to the "propaganda"
1
There isn't a British national football team though.
1
@AndrewFosterSheff69 Yeah just England as Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales have their own teams
1
@GlenFarmer-c6i So I'm guessing you conveniently forgot about when Nigeria won in the 1996 Olympics as well as for example, Argentina rigging all three of their World Cups. Of course, I doubt you genuinely care about football and are only doing your daily grifting however.
1
@stuzo666 Damn a Scot, I still remember when you lot thought you were going to win in 1978 only to lose to my country of Perú in the Group Stage
1
@stuzo666 Thanks man. Hope you guys do better in the next Euros
1
@Mistral434 So why haven't any later sources backed up on this claim? Notice how you've had to go back 30 years ago instead of using a more recent source? That's already not good practice when it comes to research in Criminal Justice so imagine having to do that in other fields and I doubt "propaganda" will be the copout this time.
1
Yeah... 58 years ago... what about England in literally every World Cup since including their "Golden Generation"?
1
@lut8167 Quite a lot
1
@JamesSmith-qs4hx Ok Mohammed "James Smith" bin Hussein
1
@kristoffer8609 I find it strange myself but I'm going to go with either YouTube being really draconian or well, pretty obvious reasons that I think you and I can deduct. That being said, I did find people just randomly bring it up in unrelated videos with no censorship so I don't know if it's just you
1
@Zendvious Regarding the legitimacy surrounding their wins. Of course, I doubt someone that treats being white as being a gift by God himself will have good reading comprehension
1
Not as much as say, playing video games
1
Have you considered there aren't as many white players because they simply aren't good? Ffs the Premier League is full of foreign players playing for other countries
