Fun fact, the common people back in the day were why the Hayes Code was even passed in the first place as many Catholics in the US threatened to boycott Hollywood films if they didn't abide by it. This mentality would be the dominant way of thinking until around the end of World War II when the war crimes committed by the Axis were eye opening for millions across the world and thus, many began to look for alternatives to avoid a repeat of the war. By the way, do you genuinely think everything just got indisputably better after each passing year? Because if so, I really hope you have this same energy towards say, eugenics for example.

Also, please explain what were the "WW2 Crimes" considering that Pope Plus XII for example, was one of the first major figures in calling out German treatment of Jewish people in 1942 when every other country was rather antisemitic at the time? What about the persecution of Catholic civilians by Germany themselves? Did I also mention that Mussolini himself repeatedly denounced Catholicism? Yeah, I genuinely think I'm far more knowledgeable in history than you.
