  18.  @ten10_ten10  I mean I wouldn't exactly compare the socioeconomic relations between two nations with a polarizing history as being "dumb" but my definition is likely different than yours. My point though is that the entire from a broader standpoint is really only from a sense of consumerism. Now in concept, sure it sounds pretty great highlighting the pros of one console over the other and giving constructive reasons for your own personal preference but it very often just boils down to blind fanboyism or just flat out brand loyalty. And I might have a bold take but the Console Wars died because people just grew up and the next generation just didn't care as much and if anything, is having more and more contempt towards the concept of console exclusives. Plus, people have been saying the industry has been declining since at least 2012 at best so I don't really see much merit in this argument.

And even when they do once in a blue moon make an original game, it can just flat out suck. Not sure why gamers have this weird fetishization of Japan but no, it's not suns and rainbows there either.
