  1. Wow I'm from New Zealand and even I can guess at what the black code is. I feel this piece did a great job of sharing the impacts living by the code has not only on the child but also the mother. I'm grateful it wasn't spelt out, because it shouldn't have to be. We all know what's going on for black people in America, even down in NZ we can see it.
