@davebox588 Just watched a Sky news reporter interviewing some of the residents of Bolsover which after 50 years of being under Labour control has suddenly gone Conservative. One resident said that his parents had voted for the Conservatives for the first time in their lives and they are both 69 years old, wonderful. Sometimes it takes years for common sense to kick in but better late than never.

@Badhat66 I agree about Labour being fixated on London and the white middle upper classes including Hugh Grant and Lilly Allen telling us what they think is best for us as if we are too stupid to think for ourselves, champagne socialist's they are. It has been widely reported in the press that Jeremy Corbyn is worth an estimated £3 million and Tony Blair's wealth is estimated at £20 million, he also has an extensive property portfolio. ☹️☹️☹️

@Brian kent If people delved into the past history of The Labour Party they would see why they are now struggling to get re-elected. Anyone can type on the internet "Winter of Discontent" and read about what happened to the then Labour Prime Minister James Callaghan who was virtually taken over by "the unions" and the UK became the strike capital of Europe. This awful episode had the gravedigger's on strike and also the Binmen amongst others. The public had then had enough of Labour and elected Margaret Thatcher who Labour voters hated with a vengeance and yet it was the incompetence and failure to govern by the Labour party that resulted in her being elected.

They have unfortunately been influenced by a Sturgeon.

@espressoman-gv5ui My late father alway's said "you can't polish a turd". 😃

@himanbow Why didn't Labour when they were on power reduce the use of plastic carrier bags and introduce the different colour bins that we no use to separate waste for recycling?. All this was introduced by the Conservative Government.

@HUYI1 There are more than a few millionaires in The Labour Party including Jeremy Corbyn who is worth an estimated £3 million. Tony Blair is also worth an estimated £20 million and he has an extensive property portfolio.

@Brian kent True.

@jimmynich4791 So true. Margaret Thatcher was a very controversial figure and people either hated or admired her but when it came to running the country she was focused, single minded and could ride difficult situations out. She also knew that she couldn't have the unions running the country.

@mariogmajner6549 That's your view and opinion.

@mariogmajner6549 There was also the problem of the so called "tactical voting" and plenty of information on the internet on how to do this. Not sure if this had any effect.

I am clapping myself.

The BBC think and are hoping people are stupid enough to be easily influenced by their piffle.

Labour are well known for ruining the UK every time they have been in power. If you type on the internet "winter of discontent", you can read about what happened to the then Labour Prime Minister James Callaghan who was virtually taken over by "The Unions" and the UK became the strike capital of Europe. The UK electorate were so desperate to get rid of Labour that they elected Margaret Thatcher. ☺️☺️☺️

@Honking_Goose Jeremy likes sitting on fences, apparently. ☺️☺️

@saracen7774 Patience is a virtue.

@craigr07572 Have you forgot Labour's infamous "winter of discontent" when the then Labour Prime Minister James Callaghan was brought to his knees by the rampant unions and their gravedigger's and binmen's strike? and the result was Margaret Thatcher being elected. Anyone can type on the internet "Winter of Discontent" and read all about it.

@Off-Centred UwU Pessimist?

@golgotha3938 You are right. Labour have always portrayed themselves as the party "for the working man" but this has always been a con. Also when Labour last left office the amount of money you could earn before paying tax (the personal allowance) was a pathetic £6,475. At present the personal allowance under the Conservatives is £12,500. I live in South Yorkshire a strong Labour voting area and for years i voted Labour but now i always vote Conservative and will continue to do so, you need people who are sensible running a country.

@HUYI1 Rubbish.
