  1. Sometimes you need to be careful. I live in the UK and i bought shares in two long established retailers (Woolworths and Debenhams) and the bank Bradford & Bingley and they all went bust. I bought shares in Woolworths on the recommendation of a broker in a highly respected UK newspaper, lol.
