  1. I thought of Alcohol Fetal Syndrome actually. The 'no-eye-contact' one. the imitating of others and being só good at noticing people's behavioural movements (as if observing from a whole different perspective) made me think of autism or AFS. But Alcohol Fetal Syndrome can seem a lot like autism in many ways, including sudden moodswings, anger-issues, problems with sudden heavy emotions etc. And since the parents were letting him drink and the alcoholism he got from it...I can imagine the parents were drunks themselves then. Hence the AFS.

  2. I have worked with kids ages 04 to 13 and SOME of the kids say they want to become a surgeon and actually follow through with it. Most of them have several obsessions and some of those become their actual focuspoint, others stay hobbies or they forget about them. I wanted to be a horse when I grew up. I am so glad I did not tell them, they would've build me a stable.
