Maybe it's just me, but in the Netherlands, the bathrooms are (usually) fully closed up and easily lock-able. They'd be the best place to hide. No shooter will put effort in to shoot through the door to get you.

@lee14631 They are very, very likely to accidently shoot another student. You have a matter of seconds to determine whether the running kid is the shooter. The shooter doesn't matter who he kills, the teacher should. Even cops have trouble with that. Don't act like more guns would help.

If it's unnecessary to you, then I congratulate you on being a European.

@beepboopbopbob6874 I'd argue it wouldn't be if you were in a Dutch bathroom. Then again, we don't have schoolshootings here.

@kaproskarleto5136 What he means is, they often can't be arsed to crawl underneath the stalls to make sure they get everyone.

@mars5709 Well, every country has their troubles ofcourse, but I have to agree that the levels of (gun) violence or problems are a bit more managed here. It's probably to do with the oversight and the size of the country, we have 18 million people (and 21 million bicycles) but you can see and hear pretty much everyone around you, so violence in the streets will be noticed immediately. But our country is slowly getting worse too, there was a nasty affair with benefits, where innocent people got their kids taken away, because the government (purposely) made a mistake and said the record said that they could not care for their kids. Some still don't have their kids back now, it caused an outrage.
