@chlorinatedpvc6629 Just FYI, even the most privileged, the most rich, the most wealthy and the most fortunate can sometimes feel like everyone or everything is against them. That does not mean that you can tell them it's not bad and that they are privileged. All that does is make them feel guilty and bad for speaking out about the feelings, that everyone , poor or rich will have, and then they keep it in and bottle it up. I, for one, have a home and a good life. I'm not rich, I'm considered poor for the law, but I have food and comfort and warmth. I have a nice and loving, warm family that I look up to and I have a kind neighbour. I have zero friends, but a nice club that I sometimes visit to craft with. Nevertheless, I often struggle with mental issues, whether triggered by trauma in the past, my last abusive relationship or otherwise. Everyone's feelings are valid.

Haha I just typed the same thing. Amsterdam canals are urine, vomit, beer and rusty shoppingcarts. But swimming in Amsterdam can be done, definitely, enough lakes. We'll be happy to welcome him.

It's good that you're venting and your fears are understandable, but we have a saying in Dutch, which is throwing the kid away with the bathwater. A.k.a. attacking a disadvantage, by throwing something very important away and losing the most valuable. You have at least 75 years left to travel. With a bit of luck, the world will be (even) more beautiful and you will get to meet everyone that watched your videos all those years. Call me a naïve 32 year old, but I know things will get better, everyone thought covid would be forever and it was 2 years of Whatever your solution to your homing situation will be, know that you have got a massive group supporting you, that thinks of you as a strong and important person.

It's not always fair, but it will balance itself out. Z's that travel might be able to sightsee and enjoy some stroopwafel, but once the country they visit, notices a Z on the car, they'll receive the opposite of the love that Roman is receiving. Karma has a funny way of doing things, I hope Roman is rational enough to know he is on a good path. It will get better and when it does, it will be wonderful.

And if I may add something my caretaker recently said to me, when I sat on the bed crying about failing the most mundane cleaningtask of putting some clothes away; "For fuck's sake, go outside and buy yourself something nice, get the best and most taste slice of cake and treat yourself instead of wrestling with your mind." Be kind to your mind.

Yeah,just one detail, the Amsterdam canals are quite disgusting and filled with urine and old rusty bicycles that will give you tetanus, so, Roman, once you get to visit, don't JUMP in the canal. That's one way to get tetanus :) Just find a nice lake nearby, take the friends with you, have a good time!

His emotions are understandable but most are based on fears that can't ALL hapoen and maybe not even óne will happen. He needs to stop putting himself down, he has a strong mind and it's turning against him this way. We can all see that he is great and brave and he can't see it at this point, which is frustrating. Part of me wants to hold a mirror to his face, shake him and yell: You are great, how can you not see that!? We see it!"

He didn't ruin his life, he feels like he did and you do too, appareantely. Ruining your life is done by killing yourself. Not by choosing the lesser of evils.
