  1. +Gary If the meltdown is about food and they refused to get her food 'just because' then it's stupid. They probably assumed they could get her food there. And you can't just take food on a plane, btw.

She got upset (because it was probably dinnertime and autists are focussed on schedules), said 'eejaa' and possibly screamed. Or scratched (herself or her parents, not others) As you said, babies don't get kicked off either. It's ridiculous to bother the entire plane with an emergency landing (those things are for birthing moms or heartattacks) and drop off an autistic girl. Do you know what happens if you get an autistic person near an authority that gets'angry' with them. Can you imagine how frightful that is for them? Or how messed up the schedule is in her mind, the trip she's mentally been preparing for, has now been changed. The damage done to her stability is bigger than the annoyance of the people around her was, for sure. Just put on some music and ignore her, as long as she doesn't throw with items or fights passengers, no problem.
