  1. In all honesty, you need to give the kid confidence, but if a child his age, cries over this kind of game, that does need to be addressed with the parents. You need to teach them that failing is supposed to be part of life, otherwise he won't be able to enjoy things. He shouldn't feel as if he did something 'wrong' by losing.
