  2. People are saying he shouldn't have called 911 but broken up with her. I think in all violence cases (male-male or female-female or female-male or male-female) if you think the perpetrator will still be agressive and will not let you go, you can call 911 and ask for assistance. I'm assuming we're not talking about an angry slap-in-the-face-moment by a tiny angry girl after a confession along the lines of cheating, like the stereotypical tv-moments show us. If this guy felt he was in danger of being punched again by her, or she'd made clear she'd not let him go, there was a good reason to call the cops. Let's assume that was the case.
