  1. +Pixie No, they wouldn't have. First, they're not going to waste expensive bullets on something that is not attacking them. Second, not everyone carries a gun around there (I'm assuming you're American) Third, it's a well, for water. Putting a dead rotting carnivore-carcass in your drinkingwater is not a good idea.
