  13.  @89turbomk3  You went from 'student' to criminal and terrorist very quickly, but let me react to it as if you didn't just compare the three. In the case of immediate danger (knifethreats by someone that is mentally stable (a.k.a. not a scared old man with a knife but a determined and angry man with a knife) you have to get the knife off of him. And then work him to the ground and keep the place safe, because he might stab. A terrorist with a suicide-vest is the same kindof thing and a student with a weapon too. If the person does not comply on the street, but there is no danger (a.k.a. vandalizing a wall) you can start writing a ticket. If the person does not comply in the police-cell (let's say a terrorist) you have to start negociating. The person has the right to get an attorney, you negociate with them.A popular one is to get their (usually kidnapped by the terrorists) family safe in return for full-information-snitching. John Oliver made a video about interrogation, it's about half an hour long and it is VERY interesting, go check it out if you feel like it. Right, sorry, where was I...oh right, well from the terrorist in the police-cell, we can skip towards the criminal in the police cell (that will get a fine that grows once you do not comply. And from there, we can go back to the student, the studying girl that we were talking about. Since there is no danger, she will be treated like a person on the street, that has done no harm and has not shown violence. Which means, you get a fine.
