We used to have 'Het land van ooit' in the Netherlands (more or less for children, they got to be in costumes, not the adults) and there was always a Yellow knight (gele ridder) red, white and black knight. The black one had a bit of a ragged cloak and he was the evil one.
They always wore their harnesses and we never saw their faces. They spoke through..microphones I guess.
I remember during a show, he galloped near an older lady and she peeked over the edge to see him. He saw her and instantly did what his character would do and growled or..screamed at her, or something.
The older lady was terrified and sat back down, visibly upset.
He galloped around one time and then, said something along the lines of; 'I might be the evil knight, but I do have to apologize to that lady there, I'm sorry I scared you madam.'
He went over and shook her hand (might've even kissed her hand) and I vaguely remember he did the 'Land-van-ooit-greeting (like a wavy salute) for her. Everyone was impressed, because so far, he was a scary dude on a large black stallion and never had his character shown any kindness in the whole show. He made an exception for that older lady haha. At the time, I was confused, but now I understand it.
