I was expecting a part about how over-breeding has made them prone to so many diseases. And how they can't mate or birth on their own and often can't breathe properly. Youknow, the real reasons not to get a bulldog. Because you care for animals and don't want the dog to suffer. Get one without pure-bred-defects, get a healthy one.

@cmdraven I'm sorry to hear that, I hope you can, when the time is right, find a new fourfooted-friend in your life. My sister announced she wanted a pure-bred dog and I was against it at first, but she chose a Japanese Spitzdog, they tend to have only cartilage-issues (in their last years) due to all the excited running they fill their days with, but no other issues. If you dó want to have a new dog one day, I think they have (professional/objective) lists online, where you can look up the dogtype and see if it has issues or defects that will result in pain or problems. I hope you find one and you can enjoy each other's company :)
