  1. As a Dutch kid, I often watched American cartoons (sadly, most of the networks are in the pocket of American broadcasters) and I remember my mom flipping out, when I was drawing. She asked; 'Emma, what did you just draw?!' and I said; 'A chair with a bowl-hat and wires. Not sure, I think it's a massage-chair. "Cow and chicken" were turning the switch and their faces got all sleepy and weird and their tongue hung out of their mouths." My mom was horrified that I, at age 6 or something, was drawing execution-chairs, because the American cartoons were displaying them as a source of entertainment and hilarious deaths. I still can't really grasp the fact that a life in America is worth about as much as a life in the Sims. Is that because there are too many people, that the value of a heartbeat goes down? Isn't that a nasty feeling...knowing your life isn't worth much?
