@philinevenendaal4481 Not really..but it's a short word, so it's difficult to hear. I'd say that in German, the E drags on a slight bit longer. E-e.. And the a is more of an Ah.. E-e mmah And in Dutch, it's more of a short E and a loud ÁÁ. Not an h at the end whatsoever. E-mmÁÁ

@captaincook7788 There is a slight difference in the pronounciation. My name is Emma, I'm from the Netherlands and I speak German fluently and speak to many Germans, as much as I can. They call me Emma, with a slightly longer Éé compared to the Èh-noise that the Dutch make. It's the Èh-noise that people in movies make when they lift their shoulders to show that they don't care. The German pronounciation is closer to the English pronounciation of the letter A.
