@hughjorg4008 Yeah, as someone that's Dutch and who's parents got a 'new version' installed, I can tell you that the dirty water splashing against your butt is really innovative and a lovely feature.

Hmm..I think that was a myth. You wouldn't use human poop for that, that spreads disease. In those times, they knew about diseases and wouldn't have used poop from themselves to fertilize vegetable-gardens. I mean, flowergardens, perhaps, but not food. That is against the law even, I think.

I have had a poopshelf (i'd call it platform) my entire life and even if it is a bad smell, it's always your own smell, I can handle that now. I mean. it's been 32 years.. it's never been that bad. I think it desensitizes you from it, to have that be a regular daily thing. @onrr1726

@karlybyrd1551 Depends on how long you sit. People with difficulty pooping that sit for a long time, might create more stink. But if you have healthy poop and you sit, poop and go then it makes hardly any difference.
