(Depending on what is being said and by whom and how) same here. I like the 'firm" aspect of the language, it's very steady, I don't know how else to describe it at this moment (I am tired.) I'm Dutch and German just has a very clear and "deutlich" tone, and most Germans I know, are very helpful and friendly. Then again, once the sentence is uttered by a policeman/woman that is telling me why exactly i am not allowed to sit on the backside of a bicycle, the language adds to the rigid and unflexible behaviour of not letting me sit on the back of a bicycle and it's not comforting at all anymore.

@uhuhno6441 No, I was about to say the same, it is true. That´s why in bird-video's they specify which bird it is and where it is from, like a blackbird from America sounds different from ours.
