  1. Not to be racist, but especially in oldfashioned parts of India, if father/husband speaks, you listen. Small children aren't going to risk a beating or something, when father says; 'Leave it to me.'

  3. She likely sat on the toilet and slept there...see her kneecaps? They're not supposed to be like that. If you sit for a year, your legs will grow/sag weirdly.

  7. If your husband says you do something, then you do it. India (oldfashioned, strictly religious parts of India) have very strict rules in the household.

  10.  @girijap2185  Okay, well, if the husband would say; 'Don't worry about it, she's under my care' they would leave it, because he owns her and he has a say over her. No-one else. I'm not agreeing with it, I'm just explaining. Oldfashioned family's do that.

  11. They were very likely told not to disobey father. It's not like sisters had the right to disobey the will of the husband. Not in strict parts of India. Not even the police can disobey the will of her husband if he decides she needs to be there, she is his 'property.'
