I already knew that. It works as an adult too. Not always, but during schoolcamp, there was one girl that álways complained. And somehow she was always given attention, care and help. Even if there was clearly nothing going on. Meanwhile, I was not very vocal and kept my complaints small and polite. Like; 'Is there perhaps another blanket?' or 'I'm sorry, I noticed I stopped shivering and my hands are blue. Is there any chance I can borrow the hot water bottle?' But the one with the loud voice got all the food, attention and pampering. Stuff being carried for her, otherwise she'd burst into tears. She'd take 5 breakfast-packages instead of 1, so I had to eat 1 biscuit for breakfast (at the start of a 5-hour cycling day.) And I ended up freezing for a couple nights in a row until we went back. Back at school, she told everyone who'd listen that she'd been surviving in horrible conditions. While I was still trying to get my fingers back to a normal colour.

My sister has a dog and she ignores me often. Whenever I want to cuddle, she jumps under the table and sits there, staring at me. I don't know why, because when I pet her, she enjoys it. She just often makes a fuss about allowing me to pick her up and hold her. It's been nearly 2 years. Either way, a while ago, she was being difficult again and so I asked my sister to get her baby-panda-plushtoy from her room. I held the plushtoy and said; 'Yes...yes good girl! Good girl! Oohhh you're such a nice good girl! Well done! Well done!' Immediately the dog came out from under the table and stared at me, I have to say that was a little sad, she looked very confused about it all. So I said; 'Oh and yóu are a good girl too!' and petted her and I was allowed to pick her up and once I put the plushtoy away, she sat on my lap and we watched a short movie together on the pc.
