  2. I find the sustainable items in the Thriftshop. They've sometimes already been through a life and look fine. That's how you know they're durable.

  3. In a thriftshop, it probably came clean out of someone's cabinet. Why else would they get rid of it, "oh, I am going to get rid of this because I wear it all the time'?

Then they belong to the thriftshop Then they could belong to you. It's a psychological thing. You're uncomfortable with the idea of wearing a coat from someone else. But you probably don't have a problem sharing a busseat with a million people, or holding a fork in a restaurant, that many people have eaten from before.

  5. I know a lady with a garden that hangs her clothes in the tree on summery days. Anyone can take one down, try it on, put the hanger down next to the treetrunk and walk off with their new 'purchase.' Friends brings their old clothes to her too, so she can hang them up there.
