FOR ANYONE INTERESTED ofcourse those people get rehabilitated too, but they start in very different prisons, that are ofcourse more restricted. You wouldn't put a "fresh" murderer with intend to kill again, in a kitchen with available knifes. You'd probably restrain him and give him loads of therapy. Slowly, this'll (hopefully) result in better insight and he'll show progress. Based on that progress, you can slowly test if he is able to butter his own bread with a plastic knife. Etcetera, etcetera.

Oh that was nice reading that. I'm a Pedagogic worker and too many people online (like from the Usa) are still convinced that children that misbehave should be terrorized and put down and hit and screamed at, to 'frighten' them into 'obedience.' Horrible. Greetings from the Netherlands!

@susannichols8521 I've had that done to me and I wouldn't want the predator to. If you want them to, it's petty and it shows you haven't healed. Revenge is like poisoning two cups and drinking one, hoping the other dies too.

He mentioned the 'predatory instincts" which reminded me of something funny. I am a girl, aged 29, from the Netherlands and I play the videogame Skyrim. Now, I'm often told by people I'm too nice. And perhaps that's true, in Skyrim, I usually pick flowers, collect gemstones and ride my horse. Nothing violent. However, I once stabbed a chicken, accidentally and the whole town attacked me. So I murdered the entire town. Not even rationally, I just kept clicking the mouse and kept hacking away, because there was nothing I could do to solve the situation for myself. Is that the instinct that guard means? Because if the town hadn't attacked me, I wouldn't have started the murdering.
