Small amounts of fluoride are (by law, taking into account that pharmaceuticals are using it as well) considered harmless, but large amounts defineately are not.
If you have fluoride in your toothpaste ánd you swallow the foamy toothpaste a bit too much, plús the dentist has you gurgle with fluoride and tells you; 'Ahw, just swallow it, no need to spit' and you then drink water with fluoride, it's known to cause (the more you do this) bone deformation, brown and yellow stains on the teeth after using it often, heart and kidney-problems, it'll weaken the bones and cause stomach ulcers.
High levels of fluoride (let's say a pregnant woman misunderstood and instead of rinsing with fluoride, she swallows the small amounts of rinse-fluoride-water each day) can cause problems with the unborn child's brain and cause permanent damage.

I had a black teacher and since I was in a school with difficult-kids (I had ADHD) I shared the class with several white supremacists and (I'd call them) concept-nazi's.
The black teacher did not treat any of us, ány less and he ignored any swastika's that people started drawing on the walls.
He didn't want to know who they came from or who had drawn them, he just taught everyone, equally. He taught us about history and geography.
One day, I (12) sat behind a cabinet and there was a swastika on it. So far in history-class, I'd learned that swastika's were for WW2, I didn't understand that they were still relevant today. Also, I was drawing a lot.
I finished my work, so I started drawing swastika's in the corner. I drew some diagonal lines and made them into windmills.
It's a perfect way to get the windmills balanced out, but I kept drawing the swastika's the wrong way, with the hooks facing backwards or two-back and two-forwards.
After half an hour of practicing, I had a page full of swastika's, windmills and wrongly-drawn-swastika's.
When the teacher came to get my homework, he looked at the page for a second, leaned towards the cabinet and said; 'Ah...a swastika.'
I said; 'Oh I didn't do that one! That was already on there...I just copied it on the page..'
He said; 'Do you mind making them into windmills for me, the ones that you finished?'
I said; 'Can I keep óne? I finally managed to do it correctly..'
He said; 'Sure, but I'll give you a separate paper for that, once you've finished drawing the extra ones into windmills.'
Once I finished, he asked me if I could promise that, unless it was for personal use (whatever the reason could be) I would only draw swastika's as a base for windmills, and not 'leave them like that' somewhere.
I said I would. And then he graded my homework, I practiced some more swastika's at home and later in the lessons (much later) he brought up the current use of swastika's, but objectively, he did not refer to me or the drawing or anything.
Just saying, that's professionalism right there.
