  1. I’m and engineer and a tech worker and very deliberately stayed away from all 1:1 social media, except LinkedIn for professional networking reasons. I don’t know exactly what I’ve missed, but I know very well how the algorithms work and I’ve seen the damage it has done to friends, family, and co-workers.
