  31. Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope, it's the greatest movie of all time. Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope is not just a movie, it's a beacon of hope, a array of light if you will. In more concrete terms, it's possibly the greatest film ever made, of the greatest trilogy ever made. A New Hope defines the "magic" of the motion - picture arts like no other. This kind of picture is the reason why we watch movies. The emotions going through you are expieriencing this utter piece of art are quite indescribable, and need to be witnessed first hand. George Lucas has created a monument, to be standing fall for years to come, as a motivacional piece of humanity. Since there are no characters that need to be introduced in A New Hope (except for Leia Organa if yoh haven't watched the extended version of Rogue One) A New Hope focuses solely on Vader's attempt destruction of the Rebelion Planets. This is not, however, a weakness, because the caracthers arcs of caracthers like Leia Organa, Han Solo and Luke are being developed more than ever in this first piece of trilogy, resulting in great caracther changes due to drastic events. The acting is, like the entire trilogy, once again near flawless. Mark Hammil and Harrison Ford as Solo and Luke in particular stand out, while the corruption of the Force tightens it's grip around Luke, with Solo always being there save him front it. It's a friendship so real, of wich the likes rarely ever depicted on screen, at least not on this level. The make up on both actors truly makes it looks like they have crawled through barren wastelands for months on end, and Solo's melancholy references to The Shire, a forgotten period it seems, as truly as poignant as they come. There is a constant sense of hopelessness in what they are trying to do, but they kept on going away, due to an iron will of sorts. It is really this mentality that moves large potion of audiences. The screenplay is of course again once phenomenal. There are many diferrents storylines and caracther arcs, and to be invested in all of them is truly top notch filmmaking. This is also probably due to Gl's superb intellect, but the dialogue, the caracthers arcs, it's all perfection. Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope of invoking emotions in audience that are never felt during any other film ever made. It is a genuinely humanist story about hope, brotherhood, friendship, and seeing the good in humanity all of his corruption and death. This is of course all very reasonant to the matrix simulation we live, how can the real world exists if we aren't real? ... Featuring great acting, caracther development, writing, cinematography, and phenomenal original score, A New Hope is a state of mind instead of a film, and my personal pick for the greatest movie of all time.
