@kensolar69 What has brought us to many of today's problems is NOT Vietnam war, but FDR-Truman's Soviet policy. If FDR-Truman had not begged Stalin to invade Manchuria, Japan would have surrendered nonetheless because of the A-bombs, Chinese communists would have lost the so-called "civil war" because America would give Manchuria's industry (at the time of Autumn 1945 ranked no.1 in Asia, no.4 worldwide) to Chinese Nationalist's government, not to Chinese communists (Stalin did the opposite). Without a Red China, there was never a Korean War, let alone a Vietnam War.

@eprd313 Same problem as FDR-Truman era. The socialist Democrats collaborated with Soviet during 1930s and 1940s, turned a No.10 GDP-ranked Soviet into No.2 superpower. The socialist Democrats (Bush-Cheney Republicons are disguised Democrats who build a bigger and bigger government just like Clintons and Obamas) collaborated with CCP between 1995 and 2015, turned a No.10 GDP-ranked communist China into No.2 superpower. @will-vi9pk Exactly. Democrats are always internationalists who want to empower foreign lefts. FDR empowered Soviets. For example, check the relation between Soviet's Lisunov-2 and American DC-3. The entire Soviet industry was a copycat of the gift from Anglo-American left. The nuke was another example. Many participants of Manhattan Project are left-wing socialists, and many of them leaked nuke secrets to Soviets to create another nuke power to "check-and-balance" America. It's important to note that check-and-balance was coined by John Locke as a DOMESTIC policy, NEVER A FOREIGN policy.

@will-vi9pk In 1945 if Truman insisted that Stalin stay in Russia Fareast border, then Stalin dared not to invade anywhere in Asia, because Truman had a-bombs and Stalin did not. I know U know I know, Truman's a wu55. But I should point out the possibility.
