Socialism = any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or GOVERNMENTAL ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods. Also check the 1st sentence of your Constitution of India: "WE, THE PEOPLE OF INDIA, ...... constitute India into a ... SOCIALIST ... DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC". Socialism in the non-English-speaking continental Europe means Marxist-Leninst Socialism, aka. Soviet-style socialism. Socialism in the English-speaking world means GOVERNMENTAL SOCIALISM. Socialism in the non-English-speaking world is only a subtype of Socialism in the English-speaking world. The latter is more generic. The term "socialist" (socialism) in India's constitution clearly refers to the English definition of socialism, i.e., governmental socialism because you have never had a Marxist-Leninist party in India. Fascism is not only a governmental socialism, but also an extreme version of governmental socialism, aka. totalitarianism. Your India is a governmental socialism dystopian h0le. @prakash_pov No, Indian government follows governmental socialism from the first day of your independence. The Nehru–Gandhi family employed planned economy during their reign of India. And the so-called economic reform of India starting from late 1990s and early 2000s is similar to China's Deng's Reform. Both China's and India's so-called "reform" are much worse than western Keynesianism in regard to governmental control, i.e., both of them lean toward Nazi's economy rather than free market capitalism. And finally FYI again, fascism is defined as national SOCIALISM by Mussolini and Hitler, read the literal words please. Communism is INTERNATIONAL socialism while fascism is NATIONAL socialism. They only differ in foreign policy. They share the SAME domestic political policy (aka. totalitarian governmental socialism) and employ very similar domestic economic policy (planned economy/Stalinism versus extreme Keynesianism).

Extreme case of Keynesianism (or simply Extreme Keynesianism) is both socialism and capitalism, and is what Deng's China and your India have implemented. You obviously are ignorant of Hayek's work (Austrian School) and Sowell's work (Chicago School). Hayek once said that if the government controls the majority (>50%) of the economy, then it's socialism (i.e., governmental socialism). The comparison between socialism and capitalism is not black-vs-white as you and your soviet-style education expected, but is of a gray scaling spectrum between 0 and 1. The black-versus-white view of the world is scientifically inappropriate, bro. Your soviet-educated mindset doesn't match the true western free-market nomenclatures.
