My 2 cents:
1. Renewable energy is a good idea because fossil energy sources will be exhausted sooner or later. Nevertheless, this won't happen in this century, and perhaps not in this millennium. Left's hysteria about an emergent renewable energy agenda is 99.99% a political move rather than anything to do with science.
2. The left selects a completely wrong and evil medium, POISONOUS BATTERY, to store the renewable energy generated. Battery causes more pollution to the environment because of its toxicity. The right answer is E100, i.e., pure ethanol. There are many publications in chemistry proving that we can use WATER and CO2 to generate pure ethanol upon some energy consumption. Therefore, here is what a clean and renewable energy industry should look like:
2.1 Let experts build efficient renewable energy plants, e.g., solar farms in high desert, wind farms in windy mountain passes, tidal power plants along coastline.
2.2 Use these renewable energy plants to generate ethanol from water and CO2. If in mass production, this practice also significantly reduces atmospheric CO2, because generating billions of tons of ethanol means eliminating billions of tons of CO2 from the earth atmosphere.
2.2.1 Unlike the battery industry, this plan ACTUALLY reduces CO2, not increases CO2 emission.
2.2.2 The unreliable power cycle of renewable energy sources is NOT a problem here. When there is no renewable energy available, temporal suspension won't destroy the production process.
2.3 All vehicles should use E100 ICE to replace gasoline/diesel ICE. This requires minimal and low-technical updates in ICE hardware. Any certified mechanic can do the job.
2.3.1 A good news is that volumetric energy density of E100 is 80% of gasoline. This means, for example, a vehicle that can drive 300 miles upon a full tank of gasoline can drive 240 miles upon the same tank of E100. This is acceptable to me.
