Because America is becoming Latin America. At least in California, the fast growth of the continental Latinos (Carribean Latinos are quite different) is the reason why California's color is changed from deep red of Ronald Reagan to deep blue of Gavin Newsome.

@beno.9958 Well, that is exactly what has happened and is happening in Latin America. Corrupted elites are not held accountable for their behavior. My theory is about Catholics. They trust some form of authority, some kind of surrogate parents. Godfather Don Corleone or godmother Pelosi is the answer. Then we've got the house of the rising sun in New York and house of the setting sun in California.

@pianogigger Caribbean latinos are quite different from continental latinos. I don't deny that there are individuals not conforming to the mainstream. But I do feel that mainstream Caribbean latinos are business driven, while mainstream continental latinos are serf driven. Both Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio are Caribbean latinos.
