Its speed metric is the 1st derivative, and the system's state is described by its speed, for example, a fighter jet flying at 0.8 Mach cruising speed. The acceleration metric (change of speed) is the 2nd derivative. Conservative means keeping a small acceleration metric / 2nd derivative. :face-blue-smiling: The (radical) left means wanting a devastating acceleration metric / 2nd derivative that will break the system.
