Actually the socialist democrats of America and their counterparts in western European countries played the most important role in transforming the Moscow regime from a poor farmer's land to the No.2 superpower. They did it again to transform communist China from a bankrupted $hithole to the current No.2 superpower by admitting the Beijing regime into WTO. Soviet's industry in 1930s was mainly comprised of copycats from USA and UK. For example, Lisonov-2 was a direct copycat of Douglas DC-3. FDR government officially granted its technical transfer to the Soviets. So were Soviet's automobiles, engines and many other gizmos in civilian sectors. The only thing Soviet built by themselves was the military industry which is always not transferrable. Again, this happened again to communist China in the past 3 decades. Almost all civilian industry sectors are transferred to the Beijing regime, except the defense sector (military industry).
