Just like the Afghanistan Taliban, VC and NVA have no chance to win the war in the battlefield. It is people like you who helped them to defeat the US military. The casualty number should never be the excuse for people like you. Why? Have a look at the Korean war, US alone had the casualty number comparable to the Vietnam war. The total casualty number of the entire UN army is definitely more than US losses in the Vietnam war. So what is your point? We should not fight the Korean war? If I am a south Korean, I have to say that you are very sick. Talking about "lack of journalistic skill and integrity", the US MSM did much worse than that. Communism is never undefeatable. The communist parties in Thailand and Malaysia are such examples. And the Korean war showed that two Vietnams could co-exist just like the two Koreas if the western countries formed an alliance to fight the Russo-Chinese forces together. Such an alliance was never formed, simply because the US MSM's lunacy made it impossible.

@michealdopemeal9445 . It's unlikely he misunderstood you. He is a democratic socialist, with his root originated from Eduard Bernstein, the "revisionist" who favored election rather than revolution. Marxism-Leninism socialists call these election-based people like him as "revisionists". India is the largest democratic socialist nation on earth. And it sucks big time, not much better than its Marxist-Leninist siblings (i.e., the communists), and far worse than those fascist regimes, for example, the post-Mao China after 1980s, in regard to economy efficiency.

If you think NVA or Taliban can defeat US military by their guerrilla war strategy, you are clearly out of your mind. Even an anti-war veteran like Oliver Stone won't be able to talk with a f00l like you. His movie Platoon was partially based on his own actual experiences, a US company could defend its positions against a whole NVA regiment. This was essentially unchanged from the Korean War, where a UN regiment could hold off against a whole Chinese/North Korean division. Your polished words cannot explain off the difference between the Korean war and the Vietnam war, as the US had weak presidents in both wars but the mainstream media acted differently. In 1950s the US mainstream media was radical right, and in 1970s radical left.

LOL Your type of socialists (Eduard Bernstein's type) are not as malicious as Marxists, but still quite headstrong and f00lish when you project your vision onto other people. You may think the goal of your socialism is Scandinavian societies, but in reality will always be India. Why? I am writing a book to explain it all in term of NP-completeness. As the underlying society grows to be more and more complex, your socialistic/deterministic approach becomes more and more intractable/doomed. A solution good for a million people is not a good solution for a billion people. Socialism eventually fails, unless the human society is going back from more complex to more simple. I don't think that is the case.

@Ethan . I agree with you. The American socialists are turning into Weimar German national socialists at an astounding speed. The Reichstag fire attack case (vs. the Capitol riot case), the censorship, the cover-up of everything from the border crisis to Hunter Biden's criminal behaviors. The socialist democrat party and its branches (especially its propaganda media branch and SS riot branch) are running along the same path as those national socialists. It might also be noted that both American socialist democrats and German national socialists center their ideology on RACE. And both the superior races in their ideologies are above the law. They can break the law and get away from any accountability. I think this phenomenon is a very interesting coincidence.

The most dangerous period would be from now to the midterm, as Xinnie the Poop could be a gambler to show hands with the senile Joe who is even more inferior than Neville Chamberlain. The so-called mobile target drills were hoaxes with beacons installed on a slow target. The hypersonic missile test was a regular satellite launch, which is hypersonic by its definition. China never has X-51 style hypersonic aircraft. All Xi has is the enhanced ICBM, which is a 1950s technology, with foldable aerodynamic wings newly installed on the warheads so that every warhead can have some limited control over its flight parameters. It is launched as an ICBM and ends as an ICBM warhead (i.e., destroyed at the end of its ballistic). On the contrary, hypersonic AIRCRAFT such as X-51 is an aircraft which will return to an airport.

You guys favor deterministic centralized solutions, aka. governments as big as possible. Accordingly, Marxism-Leninism socialists (aka. communists) and national socialists (aka. Nazis) are 100% socialists because they are 100% governmentists who put 100% ownership of everything into government's hands. In Soviet, Nazi Germany, China and North Korea, the government can forfeit 100% ANYTHING if the party leader wants to do so. I am pretty sure Orwell was against it in late years of his life.

Hitler's Nazi party is actually German-style Leninist party. "The nation follows the party, and the party follows the leader". The only major difference is the economy policy. German-style Leninist party vouches for state-run capitalism. Soviet-style Leninist party vouches for planned economy.

In 1911, Michels observed that the socialist parties of Europe, despite their democratic ideology and provisions for mass participation, always degenerated into oligarchy of a few leaders. The so-called democracy in a socialist society is not sustainable. Lenin was very friendly to democracy in 1917 and the Russian election in late 1917 was supported by him and his Bolsheviks. However, this turns out to be nothing after the election result showed his Bolsheviks lost the election.
