It's not a bioweapon, but a funded public research done by 石正丽 of Wuhan Institute of Virology. She collected RaTG13 bat virus from Yunnan province of China in 2013 and published a paper on her experiments of modifying the RaTG13 bat virus to infect human ACE2 cells. Shi even tried to collaborate with NIH to get NIH funding. NIH rejected the idea after classifing it as a dangerous research that is unnecessary to humanity. Is RaTG13 bat virus natural? Yes. Is SARS-CoV-2 (i.e., COVID-19) natural? Mostly, except the human ACE2 receptor part.

In 2013, Shi Zhengli of Wuhan Institute of Virology published research papers to describe the technical details of how she got RaTG13 bat virus from Yunnan province of China and how she did experiments on RaTG13 bat virus to infect human ACE2 cells in human respiratory system. Shi contacted US NIH for funding her team, then NIH rejected the idea because NIH thinks this is a very dangerous and unnecessary research. On January 27, 2020, Shi Zhengli transferred RaTG13 bat virus to NIH's GenBank database to refute the "rumors" that she has something to do with the pandemic. Obviously she believed that she's innocent. However, based on the RaTG13 bat virus sent to NIH GenBank and COVID-19 samples collected from patients, right now almost all scientists believe that SARS-CoV-2 (i.e., COVID-19) is based on RaTG13 bat virus and infects human via ACE2 cells. This is EXACTLY what Shi Zhengli has done since 2013. Also Shi Zhengli's team's the ONLY team on earth who had physical copies of RaTG13 bat virus before January 27, 2020. And nobody else in the world has a physical copy of the RaTG13 bat virus until January 27, 2020, when Shi shared it with NIH GenBank database.

All of the Yunnan horseshoe bat coronaviruses are solely owned by Shi, the collector. Shi has published tens of papers on this subject since 2013. In the 2013 Nature paper, she used two Yunnan bat viruses Rs3367 and RsSHC014. On January 27, 2020, Shi suddenly uploaded the so-called RaTG13 bat coronavirus to NIH GenBank. www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/nuccore/MN996532 From the name she used, it is obvious this is a 2013 virus in the same 2013 collection from her Yunnan horseshoe bats. All Yunnan bat coronaviruses mentioned in Shi's paper are natural viruses from Yunnan horseshoe bats Shi collected in 2011 and 2012. 2. Shi has possessed these natural coronaviruses since 2013. 3. Shi has done modifications on the natural viruses to finish human ACE2 receptor experiments. These natural bat coronaviruses are NOT applicable to human ACE2 at the beginning. Shi made it happen. The informal Gallaher writing you posted is yet another rumor where Gallaher calls several peer-reviewed formal publications as "rumors". Gallaher does not have enough to write a paper, yet he opened his big mouth to attack other scientists. Gallaher falsely assumed that COVID-19 is a NATURAL evolution from RaTG13. Yes, if it is a purely natural evolution, it would take 69.5 years for RaTG13 to mutate into COVID-19. But from Shi's papers we know it is not natural, Shi did some man-made modifications on those bat coronaviruses.

Assuming it is correct, i.e., the suddenly-appeared RaTG13 coronavirus (uploaded by Shi Zhengli on Jan.27.2020) can infect human ACE2 cells, we still don't know whether this RaTG13 is purely natural or has been modified by Shi. Shi's lab is isolated by CCP from international neutral 3rd party's inspection. There is non-trivial chance that RaTG13 coronavirus is Shi's lab result rather than a purely natural bat virus. There is a conjecture that SARS-CoV-2 is also a not-yet-published lab result of Shi's team. It leaked out by accident or incident before it could be published. Nobody outside China knows what has been going on and what is going on in Shi's lab. I assumed RaTG13 is not a purely natural virus in previous sections. Let's assume RaTG13 is purely natural in below. Still, the strongest proof is pointing to Yunnan bat coronaviruses and human ACE2 receptor. Nobody else (except Shi Zhengli's lab) has possessed physical forms of these Yunnan bat coronaviruses, and nobody else (except Shi Zhengli's lab) who has ever played with candidate suspected coronaviruses mentioned in all the related research papers is within 10 miles range of Wuhan wet market. Even assuming the culprit viruses are purely "natural", it is Shi Zhengli who transported these "natural" viruses from a remote cave in Yunnan to Wuhan to endanger millions of Wuhanians and the entire world. You call this natural, I call this artificial (transportation). Shi is not innocent in whatever argument you are trying to sell here. You see, my whole argument does not rely upon the idea that Shi made "modifications", as Shi also made the "transportations" into Wuhan the epicenter of this disaster.

You use it to cut down the "artificial modification" theory, but it also backfires at your "natural transportation" theory. You see, if RaTG13 is a natural coronavirus carried naturally on those Yunnan horseshoe bats, and now we know from the Nature 2020 paper that RaTG13 attacks human ACE2 cells on its own capability (i.e., no need of artificial modification), and by local aborigines' transportation from Yunnan to Wuhan wet market (the local people are not scientists, they don't know how to protect themselves from coronavirus infection), then the epidemic would start in Yunnan when the locals made first contact with the horseshoe bats, not in Wuhan. In reality the entire disaster started in Wuhan, thanks for Shi Zhengli's scientifically-engineered transportation of the bat coronaviruses from Yunnan to Wuhan without breaking the holding capsules. Do you get it? Let me use a law enforcement case to illustrate an analogy. Suppose now we have a homicide case caused by a propane explosion in a house. You the leading suspect have announced to the public that you moved lots of propane tanks to the house and stored them there. The CSI team has verified that the propane collected at the crime scene is bearing 96% similarity to the remaining propane in your remaining tanks in terms of chemical ingredient. As a juror I will convict you, no matter what you say. You argue that it is not murder. Yeah, maybe. We may not be able to convict you on 2nd degree murder (we'll see how things go in the near future), but it is surely manslaughter. You killed people. It is homicide whatsoever.

Is your theory "the Wuhan outbreak of SARS-CoV-2/COVID19 is a result of purely natural mutation during a purely natural transportation to Wuhan"? (aka. Shi Zhengli is completely innocent without any contribution to the outbreak) Please confirm, because I want to make your theory and my theory MECE (Mutually Exclusive and Collectively Exhaustive), so that the truth is covered and the better one (the more probable one) is undoubtedly closer to the truth.

At least my theory has physical proofs such as 1. Shi Zhengli's RaTG13 horseshoe bat coronavirus which bears 96% the highest simlarity as the world record to SARS-CoV-2 (the Wuhan virus). 2. Shi Zhengli's publications show that she collected the horseshoe bat coronaviruses from bat feces in a remote cave in Yunnan in 2011 and 2012, extracted the bat coronaviruses in Wuhan in 2013. 3. The physical location of Shi Zhengli's lab is within 6 miles range of the outbreak point the wet market. It is highly likely that a leaking accident or incident happened after 7 years itch (2013.1-2019.11). So, instead of checking these conspicous red flags, you are following CCP narratives which look for some mysterious-indeed-nonexistent E.T. carrying the horseshoe bats from Yunnan to Wuhan wet market without causing a single infection case during the Yunnan-Guizhou-HubeiWuhan trip? @absolutezero6190 . Your logic is flawed, as mutating viruses and leaking viruses are two different things. Whether Shi Zhengli mutated bat coronaviruses or not, her (mutated or purely natural) bat coronaviruses can leak from her lab to the Wuhan wet market. You need to get this point straight. Logically there are 2 possible cases: 1. If the Wuhan virus SARS-CoV-2 has been mutated by human, then the probability the virus was from Shi's lab is 100%, and the probability from Yunnan local bat hunters is 0. 2. If the Wuhan virus SARS-CoV-2 is a purely natural one, then the probablity that it is from Shi's lab is nearly 100% (100% - negligible), and the probablity it is from Yunnan local bat hunters is negligible. You have ZERO evidence about the Yunnan local bat hunter theory. All you have are some random comments empty words. In addition, the Nature 2020 paper you mentioned disproved this Yunnan local bat hunter theory because it would cause a coronavirus outbreak somewhere in Yunnan, not in Wuhan, Shi's neighborhood.

RaTG13 is the most recent one she showed to public, not the only one. All these Yunnan horseshoe bat coronaviruses are deeply correlated to each other because they had evolved together in bats in the same remote cave in Yunnan. For your 2nd paragraph, please, you were not born yesterday, cast some of your common sense in your spell. If the culprit transporter is not Shi, is not local aborigines, then what? These Yunnan horseshoe bats flied themselves to Wuhan wet market to sell themselves? If you really don't know nothing as you claimed, you can stay in radio silence and stop repeating your CCP comrade's sophistry narratives.
