You have very loving and selfless parents.

...Meaning what? What should they do?

She was probably fostered earlier.
10
Yeah, I can't believe there are some leftist nutters so self-righteous that they would rather children languish in orphanages than be adopted by white couples.
10
@PutingPinoy What do you mean by empathy? I am sure most white people do. But they can do that without self-flagellating.
7
@jennterry6977 What homework? Adoptive parents know racism exists. Do you mean teach them how to fight racism or teach them about their race's history or what exactly?
6
There are some leftist wackos just that self-righteous.
5
Yeah, it was a very well-spoken group.
5
@whatzittooyah ...Plenty of white people say they are Irish-American or Polish-American or Italian-American?
5
I hate it when people say 'real' parents about someone who had loving adopted or step parents.
2
@Miquelalalaa Yeah, heritage is a weird term here. Their heritage is their adoptive parents'. Talk to them about facing racism in the outside but their skin color has little relevance to their sense of identity.
2
@user-fo6jj4tm9m You think white people aren't discriminated against?!
2
@ashleyg.7540 Concerning? Obsessed? What?
2
...Fair enough.
2
@jennterry6977 That's fine then. Not having them be adopted at all is sickening though.
2
...Um, why?
1
@Lola-rn2jj Maybe because being a good American citizen is more important than race, gender, creed, and sexual orientation. You can not know how differently a potential parent will be to their adopted child-black or white. Accusing them of bias before they had a chance or when you do not even know them is wrong and unfair-especially people SAVING ORPHANS.
1
I could not agree more!
1
The motive is to provide a loving home and also many white orphans are adopted first and foremost already.
1
Orphaned children are being given a home. Let the white people pat themselves on the back as saviors.
1
Non-white couples hardly ever seem to transracially adopt.
1
How is it racist?
1
...Why?
1
I am so sorry for your loss. May your amazing mother rest in peace.
1
What did you and your mother think of this video?
1
Why is any of that important or necessary?
1
Maybe more black couples should step up and adopt then.
1
What have their experiences been like?
1
Who cares about the MARKETING; worry about the CONTENT-which is very good, by the way.
1
@holudenie I did read your comment and I do not find anything wrong with the sly marketing tactics. Are you just being indignant?
1
This video is exclusively about transracial adoption and you should get your OCD under control.
1
They are the biggest transracial adopters.
1
Your culture is whatever your parents' is.
1
All the women here are very pretty.
1
More children being adopted, the better! White people should not at all feel ashamed for doing something so wonderfully selfless.
1
What needs to be fixed?
1
What was inaccurate?
1
How did you know?
1
...They NEVER ask the rhetorical question that are the titles for ALL the videos in the series.
1
Only directed towards WHICH one race?
1
Better adopting and providing a loving home while teaching the child about racism than not adopting them at all.
1
@jbs2852 Well, how was their heritage relevant to their upbringing? Also, their culture is whatever their parents' were.
1
What cultural barrier? You share your parents' culture regardless of what ethnic group you are from. If you mean, they should be taught to accept themselves and their parents and how to combat racism, that makes sense. But skin color is not relevant to your personhood.
1
@whattheflip6787 Sense of identity? Their identity should not be attached to something as superficial as race.
1
White couples adopt transracially because they know black couples, many having multiple out-of-wedlock children and committing crimes that sends a parent to prison, are not going to adopt the poor kids. Especially the ones in war-torn and poverty-stricken Africa and the Caribbean. By the way, white people often adopt Asian kids as well, as seen in this very video. Why do you imply that does not happen?
1
FINALLY someone EXPLAINS what they found wrong with the title!
1
Less so for whites though; and they are supposed to be the 'racist' ones.
1
...So it is click-bait. Who cares? It worked since you are here.
1
There already is one.
1
This is such an amazing series, isn't it.
1
Maybe that is the next episode?
1
PROSPECTIVE adoptive parents, you mean, and they already have that choice.
1
What is so incendiary about the title? It is only a rhetorical question.
1
...Why?
1
I do not believe culture is the right term here.
1
...No, I do not know what you mean. Why do you care about something so superficial like skin color? Your adopted parents and relatives are 'your people.'
1
Their culture is their whatever their parents' is. Teach them anti-racism tools but anything else is superficial.
1
It is a rhetorical question just like all the other episode titles.
1
You are so sweet!
1
Why is assimilated an issue?
1
That is so cruel that so many people know except him.
1
Why can't she not comment about any topic?
1
No, it is not
