Not only that but there's only so much energy you can push down a wire without having to replace it with one of higher capacity. If you took all the energy expended in hydrocarbons and calculated that in watts then add that to the electricity supply, somehow I don't think it could cope.

@gerbre1 are you aware of the state of the economy in Germany? Do you know how many companies are going bankrupt or moving to other countries because of the cost of energy? Do you know what deindustrialisation is? I love the German people but they are generally incredibly naive as to what's going on.
