  2. Earth is not an inertial frame; however if we're studying billiard trajectories, we can say it is. You have to know when to approximate and when to abstract.

  3. that doesn't make any sense. If I imagine a moving coordinate system, stuff in it is moving. and if it isn't, I'll just imagine a different one.
