that's why they say "locally", with the definition of local being: small enough that none of that applies, which works great until the Planck length, when you run out of zoom.

why do ppl say that? We know exactly what gravitation is: a poor choice of coordinates.

there is, but it is very technical, and not intuitive to even PhDs not in the field. Basically, the number of photons is not the same in a frames (it is in special relativity). It gets into the quantum vacuum and how it transforms. A similar physical effect leads to Unuruh radiation and Hawking radiation, both unobserved experimentally.
2
that's not true at all. 1st: Newton is the low speed, low curvature limit of relativity, so Newton is a subset of Einstein. In deep space navigation, GR has to be included. See "parameterized post newtonian formalism" and also the "JPL Barycentric Coordinates, which are the solar system standard.

...and this theory is over 100 years old.

because the air is moving at 500 mph.

tensors know tensors.

what's the motivation for crack pot theories?
1
no, we know what it is.
1
tides are about the change in gravity over a region. The equivalence of gravitation and acceleration is "local" (at a point).
1
local.

the geodesic eq says they want to stay on earth.
1
bro, no. How can a spin 1.2 particle have any shape other than spherical? What's the motivation for producing total gibberish?

Is kamal harris's word salad smurf account?
1
a truly meaningless question.
1
it is, in the right coordinate system.
1
because it's equivalent to energy, and energy curves space-time...plus it gets a c^2 factor, so, it's a lot of energy.

@hhjones9393 See Mach's Principle. Note that near a spinning black holes, you must spin (relative to distant stars) in order to feel like you are not spinning.

Friends don't let friends electric universe.

look up "fiducial test particle" (mass or charge).
