  1. you keep saying "hundreds of tons of water" which is hundreds of cubic meters (sorry for the metric) Let's say 500 m3.. That is a 16 foot cube of water, twenty (20)! times smaller than an Olympic Pool (the official unit for water volume). I think we're talking hundred of thousands, if not a million tons (or 2000 Boeing 747) of H2O.
